This is where the phrase"Evil Step Mother" comes from. Most women have the natural instinct to mother children, no matter who actually birthed them, but there are some who will reject any that have been borned to a woman who had a sexual encounter with their husband. It's all about jealousy, and it's wrong. Children don't choose the parents and shouldn't be punished for their parents mistakes. But it happens more than not and the parent who allows it should step up and protect them from abuse of a spouse.

I'm with Keith! Originally I registered as a Dem (because that's how my parents raised me) All those years in the dark, but finally saw the light in my late 30's and changed my party affiliation. My kids, however, are all ultra conservative. I must have done SOMETHING right.

No I was not mistreated as a child. I have traveled extensively so I am quite comfortable in my Republican skin thank you.

I am not a Republican, but my parents are, so I guess I qualify to answer this question.
Yes, I was VERY mistreated, even abused. My parents took a trip to France when I was nine, and didn't take me. Also, we were supposed to go to the Bahamas one year, but something happened there, a flu outbreak or something, so the trip was cancelled. MY PARENTS NEVER MADE UP FOR IT.
Also, they made me do my homework every night. FASCISTS! And I remember when I was in kindergarten, my mom MADE me go to bed at 7 pm.
Also, we had a garden, and my parents ENSLAVED me and made me pull weeds. Then they MADE me eat healthy meals culled from our garden. Also, the FIENDS wouldn't let me have a TV or telephone in my room! Have you ever HEARD of such a thing??? Also, all my friends had cable TV, and my parents REFUSED to get it for me.
Do I have grounds for a lawsuit?

Yes, my parents loved me, feed me, provided shelter, clothing, heat, AC, and water. I just was not given free condoms from my parents. Now I was mistreated
