Has anyone taken the Confirm Clearly HPT and received a positive result and was actually pregnant?

I have seen so many false positive postings and I am curious because I have received a positive from the Confirm Clearly HPT. I took another Confirm Clearly HPT a short time later and it came up with a negative result along with two other negative results the next day with the First Response HPT.

Maybe it was a bad lot?!?

You can't recieve a false positive. If you take to tests back to back the hcg would most likely not have enough time to build up in your urine. Some of the ladies on here who said they had a false positive may also have had a miscarriage.

I first tested with the Walmart brand of pregnancy tesr will all 5 of my pregnancies. I wasn't sure of the test were right because they were cheap pregnany test. I then tested with the EPT test and they were positive too. I was actually pregnant all five times so the Walmart test worked just as good as the expensive test.

How many days late are you? Sometimes that will have something to do with the test too. I have actually had what they call a false pregnancy. I had four urine test come up positive and two blood test. My uterus actually grew up to about a 12 weeks pregnancy. When we done the ultrasound is when I found out that I was not actually pregnant. My hormones had just got out of wack and made my body think I was pregnant. I had the morning sickness, breast tendeness, and slept all the time. I know it crazy what ones body can do sometimes.

I would recommend that you see your doc to find out if you are pregnant or not and to make sure that you do not have anything else going on. Hope this helps

False positives are very rare. In the very early stages of your pregnancy (before you miss your period or a few days following), your hormones are not built up enough to even register a positive result. I'm currently 5 months pregnant, and the first day I got a positive result it was SO faint. I waited 2 days (b/c ur hormone level doubles every 2 days) and got a little darker of a positive. I went to the doctor, and their urine test was NEGATIVE! This was because the test that I did at home was first morning urine, and the hormone level had had time to build up in my system. The test @ the doc was 2 hours after that (and u should at least wait 4 hours to let the hormone build up in your urine.) Anyway, they did a blood analysis and confirmed the pregnancy. Wait a couple of days and take another test. First Response worked great for me. Good luck!

I took that test and I had a positive one day and then a negative the next. I researched it also and it seems like many people have gotten false positives and others say thats not really possible and have gotten true positives. I am going to call my doctor as soon as I can and possibly buy another type of test and take it in the morning. I would suggest you do the same.

If you took a test back to back ....like within hours of each other its because your hormone levels didnt have time to build up..you need to take your first morning urine and try a different brand like clear blue or ept...something different from that. goodluck to you!!

the only pregnancy test that i trust is EPT. they haven't been wrong for me yet. Get a test and take it with your first bathroom visit after waking. if still unsure, go visit your physician, they can tell you for sure.

go to the doc or clinic.to be sure so you can make the needed life adjustments to protect your baby. over the counter stuff ..... if you were sick you wouldn't depend only on that stuff to help you...so..............
