Hi, I started having really painful periods since the first time! I went to many doctors (who mainly said it was "all in my head"), have had many operations. I have endometriosis. I have been sufferering for 20 years and am now trying to get pregnant. If advil and other anti-inflamitory medications are working, then keep with that. If it's unbearable, please talk with your OBGYN, don't wait.

Do you really have bad cramps everytime you have your period? If so the best thing is to take the pain relievers early. Try to take it when you get a hint that its going to hurt and not when you're already in pain. This is because the meds will help prevent the inflammation before it happens so you may not have any pain at all if you halt the occurence of inflammation which causes the pain.
It is also best to drink lots of water and hydrate yourself days before your period. Prepare a heating pad or hot water bottle just to relieve your pain and try to take a rest and sleep.
I hope I could help.

Extra strength tynenol, heat pad to your abdomenal side, stay away from sweets and chocolate, bc sugars make cramps ALOT worse...also working out during your period, like jogging, running, keeps your circulation flowing, so that you dont just sit in one area and cramp up some more...bc thats what it is... lastly, warm milk, or some green tea helps...
