that's referred to as coulrophobia. I watched "It" even as i develop into 11, and that i have been petrified of clowns ever when you consider that. i'm now 18, and by no skill some thing scares me better than seeing an photo of a clown. one among my roommate determined to play a prank on me very last semester, through taping a photo of Pennywise (the clown from "It") on my fabric cupboard. I did this extremely loud gasp, and my roommates stated that my face grew to develop into white. My phobia is so extreme that I warned through sister to by no skill pull a prank through putting an excellent poster of Pennywise in my mattress room. I informed her that if she did that, i might want to have a heart attack. a large number of people are petrified of clowns.

ok lets break it down. a clown is someone masked behind an ungodly amount of makeup. who is lurking under there? could be anyone...scary. you have no idea who they are or what they look like. the thought of this person (thing...?) being so unknown to you is not a comforing thought, and is a common one. as far as the balloons, perhaps the impending doom of the loud noise when it pops..?
