I write and sing/play own music-everyone wonders why I'm not making money.no finances..who can help?

let me sing cause I want to....it feels good to me-from my heart to you.Good songs no finances to get them out there but they will make someone money if they get heard

Sirius and XM have some unsigned singer stations you may want to start there to get out there.

this is a start. get the words and music down in a dated format to protect your interests. copyright when possible. check out kfox.com
they are in the middle of an annual contest, called, the last band standing. where bands send in a cd with 3 songs then they are played on the radio, listeners vote then the bands get gigs. add a microphone to your computer and record. most importantly, make the music, have fun.

it's not about talent, it's about connections, take Paris Hilton for example.
Try performing at local festival/farmer's market or in a coffee shop/bar?
You can always produce and market your own CD's. People will recognize true talent when they hear it. Get out there and be heard!

know days you don't need a lot of money just some one to listen to you and think your great! why don't you make a demo of some of your pieces and send them into radio stations and MTV or put your stuff out on your own web sight! just make sure that your song have been notarized and just get out there and sell yourself!!! that's what i suggest !
