Why do people tell their spouses, girl friend, boy friend, even x's when they go out and cheat??????????
HAS anyone ever heard of the word discreet?????????????/

i have often wondered that myself that's why I'm scared to do that anymore.I always had a saying what happens here stays here that means even to your death

I wonder if you are asking the question because you were betrayed by someone that you are being "descreet" with. And you are hurt because it's over.
The main reason why people kiss and tell is that they want to be caught, so the affair will stop. Subconsciously, they want to stop but they don't know how. They don't have the strength to tell the one they are cheating on and they don't have the strength to tell the one they are cheating with. So they tell other people who tell other people and finally it reaches the one being cheated on.
It all stems from guilt and the inability to overtly stop.
So you probably feel betrayed because your "descreet" partner gave up the relationship you both shared. If I am right, you must realize it was a moment of fantasy because you don't want to be with a coward like that. Whether or not you realize it, that is what you are feeling; that you were betrayed and by a coward.

guess it relieve's some of thier guilt. don't know why they want to take it and stick it in thier face. you not only disrupt the marriage even more, you are just plain hurting the other person. good question because this has always floored me too. if they get by with it , they should feel lucky they didn't get caught like so many of em' do. just go on with thier life an learn from the mistake they had made. guess they need some type of release from the guilt!

I guess it is because the guilt eats them alive, so they have to tell. I guess when someone is married and they have vowed to forsake all others, and then they don't......they probably feel bad. I am not a saint, but I am not a cheater either. I made a vow and plan to stick to it.

Some people feel guilty and have to get it off their chest. Wanting forgiveness.
Some people just want to be mean to the spouse, etc.

It's a form of entertainment .... like the tabloids ... and it gives the person telling a feeling that they are important.

Maybe to hurt the other, to make them make them be the one to break up, or just becasue they are hurtful people. ALL cheaters should feel shame and guilt.

sometimes they think that by being honest telling them how they cheated...things would start from cero ....so wrong when people cheat ...must regret it but forget about tell them...that hurts even more
