Does anyone know how to get the printer to accept a HP cartridge that has been refilled?
From my understanding HP has place a new chip inside to prevent people from refilling their own cartridges and force you to buy a new cartridge.

my printer is only two years old and has no such problem, I have been taking my cartridges to a local shop that refills them and they put more ink in than the factory. They work fine in my deskjet.
Come back and let us know what printer you are talking about.

Buy stock in Lexmark. HP is ripping people off with their cartridges.
