I'd prolly start ranting If I answered the 2pac Q, so imma skip it. Why so many people hate Soulja Boy is that he basically represents everything, in there eyes,that is wrong with hip hop. He is, in its worst form, the physical manifestation of a culture lacking originality, thought and a desire for somthing more. There's a line between Art and Entertainment, and those that listen to Hip Hop for the art hate Soulja Boy because he is so radically on one side of the spectrum. If mainstream listeners heard sombody like Aesop Rock, and he was topping charts, im sure they would have a similar reaction.
