How can i jump higher without lifting weights. These excercises should be able to be done at home. I'm not as concentrated on explosiveness as I am height. Any info would be helpful. Thank you

i just recently heard that rubbing a good dose of icy hot on your legs before a game will really help with jumping. im not jokin either im serious. a frined of mine played basketball in HS and his trainer gave them some salve that was like icy hot , he said its way hotter though it almost hurts. they saw a huge improvement in there jumping abilitys, it forces the muscles to relax and be more elastic without having to do much stretching at all, he said he never really stretched.

When I was in high school, I could barely touch the bottom of the board. Then I took football and could grab the rim within a few months. I think it had to do with all the running and jumping in heavy gear.

But I agree with others, you should do lots of toe raises (it's where you stand still then raise the balls of your feet then lower then raise... over and over again. I would probably do 1000 a day.

Also get ankle weights. A friend of mine wore 5lb weights all day long and now can grab the rim when he couldn't before. A chest weight works too.

Stationary bike is also great at strengthening your thighs which helps with jumping.

Do plyometric exercises. Do squat jump repetitions (start off with 10 per day) and increase as you do it more often. Do normal squats as well (30 reps per day) and frog jumps (10 reps and increase over time). These squat exercises will not only increase your height, but also will give your legs more explosiveness and will make them stronger and have quicker muscle reactions as your leg fibres will strengthen and quicken. Also, try ski jumps and one leg squat jumps. You can try to aim to reach a mark on the wall as well to improve your vertical jump height. Doing sit-ups will help with your overall balance and upper body strength. Do 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening. Remember to have at least a twenty minute warm-up of stretching before you start these exercises as you will be aiming to give your legs and knee muscles a good work-out!

weigh yourself down as you jump regularly maybe 15 minutes per day. In crease weight slowly . Your muscles will get stronger quicker.

Sorry but you have to leave the house for this one. Running on your toes will build your calf muscles.

....

...or you can go with the performance enhancing drugs. Your choice.
