Yeah, I've heard them called a "manpurse"! I think it looks ridiculous!! But, it depends on what the bag looks like!! A messenger bag looks okay!

Well sure, but of a different kind, like those shoulder bag case things that people sometimes take to meetings or might stuff a laptop computer into. It can make someone look prepared and professional for their meeting, a place for carrying notebooks and pencils and other materials, plus a nice thing to hide magazines in for those work related airport trips.
I remember though in the late 80's a fashion statement that young black men were making - small cases where they would carry their wallets and keys in. I thought that was gay though.

I don't care for stylish effeminate looking bags, so I carry a nice simple green and tan squarish canvas bag, intended originally as a tool bag, serves as a purse quite fine. Couldn't live without it. Yes, I'm straight, if you try to stick your dick in me, I might pull a knife out of my purse and cut it off!

Yes! You bet. The newer trend now is guys with handbags or as a fellow has answered, manbags. They are somewhat different then what women normally carry and you don't have to be a gay guy to carry one. Guys are finding out that carrying a bag gives you more space to stash your stuff. Sitting on a wallet can really be a pain in the old bu**.

My brother is a very handsome straight married man, a musician. He carries a "man-bag" as he has lots of crap to cart around everywhere. Its unfair that women get to have all their "stuff" with them and men don't. But as long as the bag does not look like a ladies bag, then go for it. (there will ALWAYS be people who don't get it, so be prepared)

I sometimes see male travelers wearing "fannybags" at my work. o_0 But, um, straight men should not wear purses. Messenger bags are cool though. I've seen plenty of guys wear those.

There's some I would like to use but dont have the Balls to do so. In Target there's some cool ones, looks like a perfect square with heavy military edge with it. And besides If I "DID" get one, cant think of what to put inside? Pens, tissuepaper, lubricant, condoms? Would department stores be tempted to search my manbag?

They don't refer to it as a Purse. It's usually called a "Messenger Bag".
