Most of the synthetic strings play well today. The gages of the string has some affect on the playability. 15 gage is fat and the most durable and will have a little less feel ,18 gage is the thin and plays with the most feel , but breaks quickly. How tight your raquet is strung will affect your control and how long the strings will last also. 70lbs is pretty tight , but will give you more control , but will break faster, 55lbs is loose and will give you more power , less control , but will last longer. I like a string made by Wilson called NXT Sensation, but it is kind of like picking a raquet , you have to try a few different ones before you find one you really like.
