No, it would make the games less meaningful. Right now, college football is way more exciting than the NFL because EVERY game is like a playoff game, and it's one loss, and your probably out of the National Championship game. The BCS usually works, the only time it doesn't work is when a team like Boise State is going undefeated, but they're beating up on cupcakes, but they still play in a 1-A conference.
Look at the build-up games we have budding right now, Michigan/Ohio State (both undefeated), USC/Cal, Florida/Auburn. Those are basically playoff games.

All of the NCAA does have such a format EXCEPT for the division 1 schools. They have refrained from a playoff system becasue of the money generated from the bowl system. I say keep the bowls, just use them as playoff games leading up to a REAL national championship game.

Definately, look at March Madness and the Final Four. It would be a huge boost to college football.

Preach it, Yell it, scream it. Make the stupid million-bowl-game week playoff games. Everyone gets paid-cause that's what it's really about-and we get playoffs.

Yes because there are so many bowls out there it can get confusing. And it would make it more interesting.
