Suicides vary from people to people, but I guess killing yourself is Narcissistic since the focus on oneself to the point of believing life is not worth living precludes the vision to see ones self worth in the service of others.
Where there is life, there is always the chance to effect the lives of others for good or ill. A narcissistic personality would not think of their life in terms of what they could do for others, and hence would have a greater tendency towards unfulfillment and suicide.

from this definition it is obvious that it is the opposite of narcissism that makes people commit suicide. If they hate themselves and do not like the position they are in in life and see no way out of it then they go on to commit suicide. But if you think about Narcissism may cause suicide in rare case. This is if the person is in love with themselves but then realizes that others do not feel the same way about him then he may feel sad, angry and depressed on why people do not see him in the manner which he sees himself. This may cause him to cause suicide. It is kind of hard to understand but think about it you will soon get it. So it could be because of Narcissism or not.

I wouldn't say that, I think its despondency and brain chemical imbalance.
Many people don't have a strong foundation in their lives, so when something horrible happens they begin to fall apart. Add more problems, stress and more problems and they begin to have suicidal thoughts to escape. Still others may inherit depression or other mental disorders that predispose them to a rough life.

I think it can be related. Many narcissists are insecure, and many times try to take the easiest route out of a bad situation instead of just dealing with it. Also, being bi-polar and a narc is common, and suicide (or thoughts of) is a symptom of bi-polarism.

I think is the opposite.However I do think that you have to be a very strong person to kill yourself.I lot of people think about it but don't have the guts to do it
