i changed the cartridge but it hasn't gotten any better

Check the rollers inside and wipe them off with soft cloth or paper, or a q-tip with rubbing alcohol. There is usually ink or junk on the rollers that cause lines on the paper.

There should be an option in the printer control panel to clean the print heads. You might have to run it a few times to get rid of all the streaks.

you may circulate forward and yet yet another ink cartridge, that one sounds like a dud. Did you examine to be sure the tape label replaced into off the 1st one that incorporates the printing section interior the printer? i might get a reimbursement for the ink if obtainable. touch the employer and tell them you won a defective ink cartridge, they could replace it or supply you some form of reimbursement.

mabe you have ink on the little wheels that put the paper out.
