Don´t tell him -- you´ll just hurt his feelings.
Just buy him nice clothes and go shopping with him when he buys his clothes.
Eventually, he´ll pick up on good fashion habits.

If he has a birthday or xmas comming up perhaps you can pick out some nice clothes for him. Also when your in the mall or out and a bout together if you see a nice man dressed the way you like you can say oh so and so i bet you'd look nice in that.

Give him some tips. and maybe he'll ask you. maybe he isn't aware of style dressing or casual wear some guys just throw on what ever or he could even be coloured blind and not sure what goes with what. thats where we come in and have fun doing it too heheeh

Ann R... I told my girlfriend to dress a bit more hip so many times but she goes back to her usual fashion which I don't really like. You can influence your boyfriend to some extent but in the long term it's his individuality that will prevail. You need to assess how important his dressing is to your relationship. It shouldn't be a big issue but it does have an impact on how exciting a relationship can be.

Tell him straight up that he needs to re-vamp his wardrobe. If he's up for it, that means he's willing to try new things. If he's not, he'll be wearing the same type of bad taste forevever. I would take him to the store and slowly help him pick out some clothes, or at least make him try some stuff on. Who knows? He might like it! Good luck!

That's part of his personality. He may think your nice, but dress a little too uptight. (No offense, just trying to view other possible viewpoints.) You guys probably balance each other out. If you want, you can buy him something that you would prefer to see him in. He probably won't wear it though if it's not his style, so you would be wasting your money.

Take him out shopping with you, and while there pick out a few things for him to try on, make lots of comments about how good he looks, how that shirt makes his muscles look big, pants make his butt look nice etc. Boy's are like dogs that way, we like lots of positive reinforcement.

why don't you go out and buy him a new outfit for a surprise and make a big deal about how he looks. although, you are close and maybe you could just say that a certain piece of clothing doesn't do his handsomeness any justice and whip out the men's catalog.

Ask if you can do a little experiment...that you wanna give him a makeover (say it like it's just a fun thing and no big deal)...if he lets you...do it and then be like "ohmigawsh, you look so hot..." and see if he gets the hint...if he says no thanks then just always remind him of how hot he looked when you made him over to look better...he'll get the point eventuslly...at least if he wants to get laid he will...

ok o if you really like him and he likes you then just sit him down alone so he doesn't get embarrassed and just calmly say i think that you need some work of the way you dress if he likes you at all he will understand :)
