Brazil: 3,287,597 square miles

United States: 3,787,355 square miles
Continental United States (includes Alaksa, not Hawaii): 3,776,423 square miles
Contiguous United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii): 3,119,999 square miles

So, continental United States is bigger than Brazil. Perhaps you meant contiguous? If so, Brazil is a little bigger.

Brazil is larger. The United States only has a larger geographic profile if you include Alaska and Hawaii, otherwise Brazil is larger. However, the United States has a much larger population as well as a demographic dispersion - 90% of the population in Brazil lives along the coast.

What they said. Also you can't refer to Brazil as "continental" since it does not span the continent to reach the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, that clarification is only needed for the USA in order to exclude Alaska (Hawaii and other islands are insignificant). Brazil does not have any significant landmass that is detached, therefore further rendering that classification useless.
