They're a heck of a lot cheaper and convenient than an STD or even DEATH. Not to mention an UNPLANNED PREGNANCY. When will people ever learn?

They are fairly expensive, though I stocked up on free condoms courtesy of my university. You can get them free at campuses and other places - however, most of these places don't supply lube, which is a hassle.

I find condoms to be more inconvenient than expensive. They kind of wreck the moment, too.

Answer #1 is the best answer. Please don't listen to k77. The diaphragm is NOT the same as a condom as it does not prevent ANY std's. It only prevents pregnancy. There is a HUGE difference between the two. It's like saying a condom and birth control pills are the same.

I'd say you're off the mark.
Mostly they diminish sensation.
How is this a political question?

To additional details:
Many people are just to self centered or too stupid to care about STDs or pregnancy. For others I think its mostly not having one when opportunity presents itself.

because men want the full 'feeling' and are sometimes selfish about that, or dont think ahead of the negative consequences. But you know what? Its the women's fault too, they either let themselves be convinced that the guys is going to be 'careful' or I dont know what. Me, for example, theres no way theyre going anywhere near me unless they have one tightly on! Its just not worth it to be irresponsible

Like wearing a garbage bag in a swimming pool. I dont like them but then again, Im married and no need.

If I were single on the dating scene it would be stupid to not use them.

Certianly inconvenient. They are too tight and not very comfortable.
