My favorite guitarist would easily be Stevie Ray Vaughn...

He would sing, and then he would make his guitar sing back to him. I'm biased I think because I am a Texas native, but something about that music... something about him. His voice isn't even really that good, but ti's perfect for those blues.

The Legend Randy Rhoads

because of all his awesome music. He is the greatest guitarist ever. My hubby the guitar teachers teaches his students the wonders of Randy Roads...... RIP

He was the forerunner to many of todays music ............... unfortunely a while back I was on a site to vote the the greatest guitarist of all times and Randy Rhoads was NOT on it.............have we all forgotton already?

Zack Wylde style is differant than Randy Rhoads.......but Randy had it perfected long before Zack Wylde came along

Phil Manzanera out of Roxy Music. He has a very atmospheric sound to his playing, which lent well to the Roxy sound. I'd also say Pete Townshend for his pure electric power, and Hendrix for his agility.

I would have to say Zack Wylde

Because not only has he boosted Ozzy's career (face it Ozzy would not be as successfull without that signature sound)
but he fronts and shreds one of the best guitar driven bands of late.

Clapton, because he is so versatile. He has shown to have longevity as well. He is even more handsome today. Men seem to age so well and women just get old.
