He's addicted and it's a sickness. Some people can go through rehab and get the help they need. But the thing about an addiction is you can't quit or be forced to quit, you actually have to want to be clean. He has to take the first step and say yeah I may need a little help. Until then that great guy you knew before the drugs will stay trapped, and the longer this goes on the more lost that guy becomes. I'm not saying drop him completely out of your life, but definitely no dating him or giving him money. You may be the one he'll come to when he's ready for help, and let him know you will be there.

Someone might only say this if a drug dealer sold them something that it actually wasn't at all.

Don't kill the dealer, you will go to jail & then you'll have to
do whatever is available & most likely pay in an
unfavorable way.
