I have noticed when I fall asleep, that when I wake up I am so hot! My kids do that too, as soon as they fall asleep they start to sweat. Does your body temperature rise when you are in sleep mode?

Yes I get hot also. My doctor told me that you level of hormones in your body rises while you are sleeping thus making you hot if you are hot-natured or cold if you are cold natured..

No, give ME 10 points!

Yep, I woke up at 2:00 AM last night and I was so hot and sweaty. Yeech. X-P

Of course, that may have been because I was suffering from a sore throat, an upset stomach, and because I wore winter PJ's under a sheet, a comforter, and an extra blanket. Oh, and two cats sleeping on top of me.

I think it depends more on your environment. If I sleep without a cover, I wake up cold. If I go to sleep with too many layers on, I wake up hot.

commonly known as nocturnal hyperhydrosis, sweating is a natural body function, but if it becomes bad enough to wake you up night after night, it has gone beyond "natural." i sweat during sleep also, specially if my husband is close to me and i am getting his body heat as well. i think it's fairly common, but i think further investigation might be necessary if you have to change your bed sheets and pillow clase during the night. it can be related to many illnesses and disorders.

This does happen to me, and to my son too. He really sweats, but Ithought it was just because he is sometimes afraid to sleep in his own bed.

Yes, body temprature does change. It is important to dress your children lighter and uncover them at night when you are up when they start to get to hot.

your question help me understand why my young daughter wants to sleep with fan on high and steady on her and keeps kicking her blanket and hates pajamas. while i am cold and sometimes freezing. our doctor checks her out and she's in good health. so i guess we just have different body temp. and i think its normal
