Men's movies would NOT be called rooster boosters because the word 'chick' means girl in slang:
chick
n. girl, woman
Actually a non-derogatory slang term for the word girl. This word was probably a spanglish derivative from the spanish word "chica" meaning, of all things, girl
and because a flick is another slang word for film:
Flick, short for flicker:
Flicker
v.tr.
To cause to move waveringly.
n.
1. A brief movement; a tremor.
2. An inconstant or wavering light.
3. A brief or slight sensation: a flicker of doubt.
4. Slang. A movie.

well first if you refer to webster to answer this....
Main Entry: chick
Pronunciation: 'chik
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English chyke, alteration of chiken
1 a : a domestic chicken; especially : one newly hatched b : the young of any bird
2 : CHILD
3 slang : GIRL, WOMAN
it is well known that "chick" is a slang for women.
what about "flicks"?
Main Entry: 3flick
Function: noun
Etymology: short for 2flicker
: MOVIE
well we can easily see that "flick" means movie.
now lets see what webster has to say about "rooster"
Main Entry: roost·er
Pronunciation: 'rüs-t&r also 'rus-
Function: noun
1 a : an adult male domestic chicken : COCK b : an adult male of various birds other than the domestic chicken
2 : a cocky or vain man
oops.....doesn't say anything about slang for man.
what about "boosters"
Main Entry: boost·er
Pronunciation: 'bü-st&r
Function: noun
: one that boosts : as a : an enthusiastic supporter b : an auxiliary device for increasing force, power, pressure, or effectiveness c slang : SHOPLIFTER d : a radio-frequency amplifier for a radio or television receiving set e : the first stage of a multistage rocket providing thrust for the launching and the initial part of the flight f : a substance that increases the effectiveness of a medicament; especially : BOOSTER SHOT
nope, nothing about movies with this either.
So to answer the question.......Rooster Boosters has no meaning in movies or in relationship to a slang for a man and a movie or type of movie.

They should be. I don't like being called a chick but that is a female nickname. And chick flicks are usually sweet romantic and weepy.
