No, I am from a long line of dark haired women. I am the only one who has a heavy period. I asked every Gynecologist I had why this was. They all said it varied from woman to woman. The reasons ranged from hormone levels to diet. I have to admit that I do eat a lot more than most women in my family. I also know that when I was on the pill, my flow was much lighter. The bonus was that my period was also shorter. Those were actually the only reasons my doctor recommended me to go on the pill.

I have never heard that one. I don't think there is any connection between hair color and periods since periods are controlled by hormones.

is not true...heavy periods are a sign of fibroids ....you need to check with the gynecologist ....with an ultrasound it could be detected...most women have then and they can also dissapear just by drinking medication
