If you really do the homework and get the correct and balanced forces going - absolutely.
It could either be done with opposing fields or attracting fields.
It would be a critical balancing act, for sure, since the field strength is inversely proportional to the square of the distance - at 1 foot, it's 4 times stronger than at 2 feet - a little too close and WHAM - you're glued to the source!

You don't need the magnets. See this link on the levitating frog (this is real science, not National Enquirer stuff): http://www.hfml.ru.nl/froglev.html Reports say it would work on people too, though better get those fillings removed first.

There is a floating bed already. Look it up. It is quite expensive though. Floats a couple of feet off the ground.
