My wife was fitted with an IUD after the birth of our child and she was given the morning after drug during the procedure. Is this common procedure or is there something I should know about.

Morning after shot?? Think maybe you have your facts wrong?? I have an IUD it was placed while I was on my period. So we know for sure I wasn't pregnant.

Sounds like theres somthing going on that your not being told about! I had my IU inserted when my son was 4 weeks old and NEVER was given a morning after anything! If she has not had sex since the birth of your child then there is no need4 the shot

IDK, but the IUD is a lot older than the morning after shot. This must be something new.
