An ovulation kit will help you figure out the right time. Sometimes when you want to get pregnant, that is the hardest time to get pregnant. Few pointers. Treat your body as if you were already pregnant. Cut back on salt, caffeine, nicotine and especially alcohol. Alcohol can actually make it harder to get pregnant. Start taking a good multi-vitamin. Personally, I would just let your body do its thing. Instead of trying to get pregnant, just enjoy being with your man, then when you get pregnant, it wasn't because you were trying, but because you where enjoying yourself. I would give it a few more months, but try only having sex every other day, that gives his body a chance to increase the sperm count. If you do use an ovulation kit, give it a few months, but still have fun in bed. If after say 4 months, then go talk to the doc about what be the hold up

Most people will tell you that it is easier to get pregnant the second or third time. However, some people can actually become infertile after having children, not to be the bearer of bad news-sorry. Depending on your age-if under 30 see a doctor after a year with no luck, if over 30, only wait 6 months. Lots of things could have happened with your body in those 2 years, or your husbands.

Good luck!!

I worked with a lady who got pregnant using a cervical disk, got married& decided 2 yrs later to have another one. It took them 3 yrs to get pregnant. So it's not a guarantee every time. You are not considered infertile until you have been trying for 1 yr. My ob-gyn said that only 70% of couples get pregnant in the first year no matter what child they are on.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

you might be more stressed, less healthy, missing the timing as you say.

5 years is the healthiest amount of space between siblings anyway - it protects the first born from being dethroned before he can cope emotionally and gives you enough energy to give your second born a decent upbringing, too.

Its probably just timing, since you didn't have problems conceiving the 1st time. I would just give it some more time, or go to your OBGYN and have everything check out, just to put your mind at ease.
