i know this is an unusual question,but why do when 2 people gets married,the woman changes her last name,except movie stars,they seem to keep their last name.

This is a tradition based on Christianity. In Christianity, the Church is supposed to do everything in the name of Jesus Christ. Well, in marriage the man represents Jesus, and the woman represents the Church. This is why the woman takes the man's last name. It symbolizes the Church acting in the name of Jesus.
That's a great question. A lot of people, even Christians, do not know the answer. Again, great question.

The woman taking the mans name is a tradition. In the olden days the woman was seen almost as a possession of the man. She was married into his family. this was just never broken as a tradition that the woman takes the mans name, however movie stars last names are an important part of who they are, and who they are seen as, it would just confuse there fans if they changed it. (and also i think cause they seem to go through so many marriages.)

movie stars get a chois if they want 2 change it bcuz if they go by a dof last namr it will chnage thier job and ppl might not no them until they c it in a mage or somtihng.

the reason movie stars don't change their names is becuse the don't want to do the paperwork to change their union card

some region is keep the maiden name and change the man last name......, it is the sign of unity anyway

This is not a rule any longer. You can use your husbands name hyphenated after yours, if you want to or just keep your.
