Every pair of jeans I try on leave a gap in the back waistband. Do you have this problem? I am young and trendy so I do not want to wear elastic jeans. I can wear a belt, but then the fabric around the waistband gathers.

I know exactly what you're talking about, I have the same problem with many of my jeans. I sometimes use a cloth belt to hide the gathering. There are jeans out there for us but it just takes a while to find them.

Because you have wicked curves girl!

Your waist is small in comparison to your hips and the jeans don't have the same ratio. They say a ten to twelve inch difference between your hips and waist is ideal but they don't make jeans that way. :-( It's even worse if you are a tall girl like me.

If you sew you can open the back seam and take the waist in. Otherwise you are stuck unless you find a brand that makes jeans for women with sexy curves. Sorry

The sad fact of the matter is, no matter how many sizes and shapes of pants manufacturers make, there is always someone who has a differnent shape. If you're nice and slim and beautiful and your jeans fit well (not too tight) around the hips, perhaps you can take in the back seam of the waistline a bit to suit YOU.

Meantime, stay nice and slim and beautiful, let the real girl shine through. After all, they're only jeans.

Happens to all the ones who actually have curves on there body a great deigner to try is babyphat and most people think o its really expenisve but if you got to macys they have it there and at bealls also but look at the same why i do I would rather spend $40 on a pair of pants that fit me very well and I look good in and feel comfortable in than $10 on a pair of pants that look to big for me and im always wondering if people can notice it.

Jeans are not usually cut to fit every female properly. There is not an average female figure. Thankfully! So wear sexy panties that peek out the top of your jeans! LOL

it is because men design jeans so that the hip and waist are the same size - even though they want a woman who has curves - so if you have curves - you will end up with the gap - try jeans like apple bottom or the j-lo brand designed for women with curves

I have this. It is because my bottom is fuller than my waist. They used to call me pumpkin butt in school! I think that streach jeans were made for folks like us.
For the record, my friends have always said I have the best butt around, hands down. You probaly have a good one too! good luck.

i have this same problem with jeans that have no stretch in them. its hard not to keep them up or on your waist withour a belt, but a belt is so annoying. it could be due to a larger butt, but inm not really sure why because my butt is normal size for all i know.

i have the same problem. and the belt thing is true. i think its just because our hips our bigger in comparison to our waists. so if the pants fit everywhere else. theyll be too big in the waist. i finally found a brand that fits me perfect. (express) i think you just have to keep looking until you find a good brand =D
