Oh my, this is tough, but I have to go with Dave Matthews! The guy has a way with words, the kind that make happy dreams ;) and he always knows exactly what I want to hear. Dave will sing 'Two Step' solo accoustic and slowed down a bit.
"Say, my love, I came to you with best intentions
You laid down and gave to me just what I'm seeking
Love, you drive me to distraction
Hey my love do you believe that we might last a thousand years
Or more if not for this,
our flesh and blood
It ties you and me right up
Tie me down
Celebrate we will
Because life is short but sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we cannot change
Hey, my love, you came to me like wine comes to this mouth
Grown tired of water all the time
You quench my heart and you quench my mind
Celebrate we will
Because life is short but
sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we cannot
Celebrate, you and me, climbing two by two, to be sure
these days continue, things we cannot change

While I too would like David Gilmour to serenade me at night...it would just be too, uhm, weird for me to have a dude sing to me every night (not that there is anything wrong with that. lol).
So...I'd have to choose - "Lady Ella" Fitzgerald and she'd sing "Someone To Watch Over Me." I could seriously listen to that everynight.

Johnny Depp doesn't sing does he? *snaps fingers in disappointment*
However, I did hear that he was interested in doing a biographical movie about Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd. So maybe if I have David Gilmour come in every night and serenade me with "Wish You Were Here" he'll bring the rest of the band. Since Syd has now passed.......Johnny is more than welcome to stand in for him. :)

I think i fell in Love with Stevie Nicks" Voice some years ago. and I have always had a special meaning and feelings for "Silver Springs" its quite complicated, so yeah Stevie please and tell Mick and the boys to take the night off. and why not i need to this at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion in Houston. very very nice question. It goes straight to the root of an old question I have always had.

Bruce Springsteen singing Dancing in the Dark. Bruce Springsteen is charismatic and down to earth at the same time. You can look at his face and see he is a happy person enjoying life. He's got soul.

Buddy Hollly - True Love Ways
I think he's an excellent singer and this is one of my favorite songs ever. It's so sweet. Plus, it has such a calming effect. It reminds me to breathe. And it brings such sweet memories of listening to it with my dad. Those were the days.

Barry Manilow. Geeze, I have to pick just one? Ok, ummm, Oh My Lady. But then I'd get sick of it hearing it every frakin evening. How about "Sweet Life" or "I am your Child"? He could sing anything to me,... the phone book....whatever his sweet little heart desires.
Thanks MnG. You got to Johnny first.
