In my experience, yes this has been the case. I found also that if I worried about my period coming (if it didn't come on time), the worrying would actually delay the start of my period. Stress can indeed have this effect on it. But if you're worried at all, see your doctor. The fact that you've never had a regular cycle worries me just a bit. (Mine have always been like clockwork.) Also try to destress...take a relaxing walk...or a bubble bath...listen to some soft classical music...I find that writing down, in list form, all the things that are stressing me at that point in my life really helps to pinpoint where the problems are, and which things aren't really worth worrying about. Hope this helps! :-)

Yes, stress can do a lot of things to your body. Every women is different, but stress can cause a late menstrual periods as well as a light period flow. Try not to stress out too much. If you can, take a hot shower or a relaxing hot bath before bedtime. Learn how to mediate. Listening to music by Enya .. something that's relaxing and calm.

It very well could be. Stress does have a big impact on your cycle, not only the flow but the timing. Get yourself back on a good diet as your body needs the nourishment to cope with stress. Also, I would recommend a B Complex Vitamin supplement every day. B vitamins also help the rest of the body, including the mind deal with stress. Vitamins B6 and B12 also help give you a natural enerygy boost.

Oh yeah, stress can totally affect your periods, especialy if you aren't sleeping too. I wouldn't be too worried, especially if you've bee careful. Personal story: my freshman year in college I got so stressed out during finals week that my period was about a month and a half late...stress can play a number on your hormones. Good luck on your exams!

More than likely. I once went 10 months without a period because of stress at work and at home. If your stress level drops off and your periods are still weird, call your doctor.

Well, it could be. Many things affect periods including all you mentioned. Also, being around other girls can affect your cycle. Yes, its a bit weird, but when u are arround other females, the body clocks start to synchronise. My advise is to take regular vitamins that help your body to go through its natural cause.
