1 mile = 5280 feet

1 yard = 3 feet

Divide 5280 feet by 3 feet and you will get 1760 yards in one mile.

Well, it depends on the size of the yard. Like let's say, you live in a farm community. There might be only one or two yards.

If you live in a tight area with lots of apartments, there won't be any yards I think.

Hey, just trying to give you a creative answer, since you already have the right one!
