clown loach, zebra loach, synodontis catfish,Rafael's spotted or striped catfish..with lots of cover and hiding places i've even had large cory cats with them... try to add 2or 3 fish at a time too.. a 3-4" pleco should be find for your algae eater..

Synodontis' are a great suggestion, Kay. You can also consider a Botia (Red Tail Botia's are quite common) as they are a tad more aggressive then Catfish and Cory's. You could opt for a Loach too, but they will definitely need places to hide.

Your Cichlids are currently small enough (@ 1")that you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting them used to lesser aggressive fish like a Catfish, Cory or Botia.

Synodontis catfish are a good selection (they also originate from africa). Many of these catfish have semi-aggressive dispositions which allow them to thrive in an african cichlid tank and cope with the aggression there.

There are many species of synodontis (eupterus, angelicus, ocellifer, just to name a few).

Bristlenose/Bushy-nose plecos are also decent additions (excellent consumers of algae and they don't get large).
