Well, I still feel sad when I think about it. It has been getting better since it has been over a month now. I have wondered myself how I could grieve over someone I had never met and I think it was because he was such a public person and held nothing back. I watched the shows where we saw the births of his two kids and the death of his dog, Suey. We all really felt as if he were someone we knew. He was also a good person who did everything he could to help animals and he really appeared to be a great family man.

I am sure his widow and children have grieved and are grieving far more than me. Still, I definitely experienced grief when he died. I still feel very sad when I see him on TV. I don't think there is anything abnormal about it.

I think the pain of Steve Irwin's death will never really ever heal. Me and my sister are still very sad that this great man had to leave so soon, we're also very sad that we wont ever get to seen him in his zoo, that was a dream of ours to go and see him within the next year.

I don't know anyone who is grieving. I know several people who are deeply involved in the conservation front, working with animals for a living and the like. Their perspective is that the man made a career out of upsetting wild and dangerous animals all for making a good show for the camera. Shouldn't a show about wild animals be more like the old boring ones where the camera was hidden and you saw the animal responding to nature, rather than an australian man yelling 'crikey' at it and swinging it around?

I know I am... Everytime I remember him; see his face and hear his voice on Animal Planet, a great sadness comes over me. The world has lost a GREAT man in Steve Irwin; but what he has taught to millions of us will live on.

His family definetly. Mainly his wife Terry. Hopefully his kids take over what his dad started. I am still sad as well. Every time someone mentions him, I almost start crying. When I was 7 I had a crush on him; yea that's how much I liked him. He was an inspiration to kids all over. You know, that's the whole reason I wanted to go to Austraillia; was to meet him. All my life I have worshiped him and a stingray just HAD to kill him! A STINGRAY! Not that I'm going to get revenge on the stingrays. It wasn't their fault. All I'm saying is a bunch of people would say he was stupid and a retard and people would make fun of his saying "crikey!" But I really, REALLY miss him!

Yeah me too.

I feel a sadness to think his humorous slightly quirky programs have ended. He was a great guy, good sense of humor. Wish he could have lived to be an old man.

But hey, I'm an old sentimental softee, I still get sad when I see a picture of John Denver and I have to remember he is gone. His music helped me through some tough nights. I can still get cheered up by playing his songs.

Hello

Yes,.. But he is one of many wildlife conservationist, naturalists and workers who have died while working in the field...

All die doing what they love,, t hier passion, Just like Steve did.

Anyone working with any kind of wildlife knows the risks, and accepts them. This includes the families.

I feel very badly for his poor father who has now had to go through the loss of his wife , Lyn and His Son both in just a few years..

I feel bad for his children, because I worry Terri is going to have a bit of a hard time stepping into the role she MUST step into now if those kids are to continue on as Steve wanted them too... SHe will have to step out of her box a bit... She is capable.. so we will see on that.

I feel badly for Steve only because I know he would have not have wanted to leave his kids.. his family and put them through this pain.. But for him... he died doing what he loved.. for that I am glad for him. It was not a car accident, or Cancer etc...

I feel badly for poor Agro as he has lost his menace.. Crocs are pretty smart and old Agro has had plenty of time to bond with Steve and I bet misses him in his own way..
I feel bad for all the animals he will nto be here to save.

WE were big fans of his work OFF camera, Not necessarily ON Camera.
Truly a great guy, He will be missed by everyones life he ever
touched, and he touched Millions of People.

What everyone can do... is each one of us can do something .. anything we can do to help animals...

If you are going to get a pet .. adopt from a shelter if you can

Report an animal you see is not cared for well

Dont wear or buy Clothing or items made from Wild Animals, Things like Ivory, Tiger skins, Alligator boots etc..

Donate if you can your time to local shelters or Wildlife rescues, parks etc... Volunteers are so needed at all of th em!

Donate Money to groups Like Wildlife warriors and other well established Advocates

Teach others what you know and keep reading and learning yourself

Speak out,... Let others see you love Wildlife,, dont be ashamed or worry they will think you are nuts... Steve showed the world... He was not Nuts.. just passionate!

Plant a tree, Put out a bird feeder

Stop using pesticides on your lawn, etc..

Dont buy exotic pets.. If you do dont let them go in the wild

Dont let any pet go outdoors to fend for itself... not even a rabbit.. Donate th em to a sanctuary or shelter..

Recycle

Take in or feed a hungry stray...

Stop for an injured animal hit on the road and call somebody to help it..

Many more things.. think about it

Steve taught us that everyone can do something!

If everyone can do just a little... There is something little everyone can do no matter what the lifestyle, financial background or even
where you live.. Everyone can do something to help an animal, the enviroment or Habitat..
Every little thing adds up.... Just think... what can I do??

I know everyone can do something....
What can you do??
There is no better tribute than to have millions of folks actually doing stuff to improve thier little corner of the globe or more...

Good onya!

Take care..

Is "anyone" still grieving???

How about his wife? How about his two lovely children
as soon as they are old enough to realize the magnitude
of their loss?...

Is anyone still grieving, what a "Pin-head" question!
