I'm for abortion. When did it become the gov't decision on what you do with your body? What do you do if were raped? Would you really want the person to have to go through with the pregnancy with her rapist's baby in her? If you are, then you are more sadistic than originally thought. Or if you are young and not ready? The world is messed up as it is, don't make it messier.

I am a man, and I won't try to tell a woman what to do , as I find it impossible to do,but, it doesn't matter what the law says , if you kill a baby it is still murder, and it damned sure is not like self defense, there are exceptions in rape , incest or where a child will be born deformed or ?? so don't pretend it is okay just because some politician wanted to get your vote AND GOT THIS LAW PASSED,for example if you kill a pregnant woman you will be charged with a double murder, is this not double standards?? but, even better what would be the out come if your mother had aborted you ? it might have been a good idea at least you wouldn't be a murderer

I think anyone could do whatever they want. But personally, I would never do such a thing.

I think instead of people relying on abortions to solve their problems, you should take some personal responsibility and make better choices to avoid getting into that situation.

Pro-abortionists, or "pro-choice" as they like to be called, believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting an abortion, it is just like going to the dentist. I think that it is horrifying that people think this way. An abortion is a terrible thing to have done. Put aside what is done to the unborn child, the woman that has this done is also at risk for long term health problems and psychological damage that could last a lifetime.

Okay, the issue of abortion comes down to deciding at what point during the pregnancy does it cease being the mother's decision to terminate, and the usual limits of the discussion are conception and childbirth.

I want to go beyond that and know why we stop at birth. The fact is that a one year old is no less dependent on the mother than a fetus. Why can she not have the right to be free of the inconvenience of diapers, midnight feedings, and that constant crying at six months? And perhaps she made the wrong choices early on and can't afford to send the child to daycare while she works.

I think maybe we need to rethink abortion and allow it at any time up to when they get their own jobs and move out of the house.

At the very least, fathers should be able to freely get "legal abortions" where for 1/2 the price of abortion paid to a pregnant woman, they are forever relieved of the responsibility for child support.

I see no reason to limit the abortion discussion to just fetuses and mothers' rights.

I am pro-choice because I refuse to force others to do what I want. If you want to have an abortion, that is your choice. If you want to carry the pregnacy to term and put the baby up for adoption, that is your choice. If you want to keep your baby and raise it, I won't stop you.

Nobody likes the concept of abortion, but it has its uses. What will happen when we have too many kids waiting to be adopted? Just because you are against abortion does not mean we should outlaw the procedure. All that will do is increase the risks women will face when seeking a "back alley abortion".

If you really want to stop abortion, then educate your kids-not just the facts of life, but the reality of life as well. I think we would all be happy if the number of abortions performed dropped to such a low number nobody would notice them.

Personally, I think it needs to be legal. If abortion were illegalized women would still seek them out and more women would die from improperly performed abortions. I don't agree with abortion as a form of contraception, but I do agree with monitoring it so that it is a safer pratice for those who choose it. Also, it has to be availiable for victims of rape and incest. Those women are already hurting. Though the decision to keep or terminate a child in that case would be up to them, they deserve the choice. Frankly, if you choose to ahve sex and end up pregnant that's you're own issue. There are lots of ways outside of abortion to not get pregnant. If the sex asn't consensual, you shouldnt be forced to carry that child. It's about safety and victim rights.

I am for abortion only if there was a rape or the life of the mother is in danger. Abortion as a form of birth control is murder, and that is WRONG! Killing a human as a result of carelessness really sucks! Men have to take responsibilty for where they sow their oats.

I think it's wrong. I also think that there are people who are going to do it anyway. God knows who belongs to him and who doesn't. Even unborn babies.
I understand the passion behind the prolife movement. But I don't understand someone putting their whole life into it. Abortion is merely a symptom of an unsaved world. By attacking the symptom you galvanize the cause. The cause of abortion is an unsaved soul. Better you should dedicate your life to saving people with the gospel, than saving unborn babies with laws.

I'm OK with it in the early stages when there's a cluster of cells. In my opinion (and we will never agree), that's not a human, but the potential for one. I know you all will freak at this answer, but I think the choice has to stay with the woman. If we make it illegal, we will have illegal abortions with nasty consequences like dead women again as we did in the past. Abortion is a necessary evil as long as people aren't responsible with birth control. People who are against abortions do not have to have them. It's that simple.
