Dont listen to people that say they are.....i lived there for the last year and i can tell you there is no way for them to be ready.... For instance i made reservations at a hotel in Beijing...when i arrived they refused me because i am a foreigner.... When it is time for the olympics the government will round up most of the poor the beggars and other very low class and put them on busses and ship them out of Beijing...this will not be the first time they have done this it is a routine...there isnt enough time or space to tell you about the real china

Yes, since it has such a fast growing economy and population. There would be no problem in handling the summer olympics
