Movement from your child during pregnancy is a great thing and does mean that everything is progressing "normally". The further along you get (closer towards the end) you will actually start to feel your child much less. be prepared. You may go hours without feeling anything. that is not a bad thing. The baby is getting ready to move downwards into your hips and be born. You should only get to this point about 35 weeks. If you stop feeling anything lay down on your left side and be still. You should start to feel movement shortly - though slight - and that will notify you that everything is ok.

I think I understand your question: You are asking that as long as the baby moves alot, is he generally healthy?

My answer would be that it depends. There are all kinds of genetic defects that can occur to a baby while it's developing that wont affect how much it moves. You have to remember that while in the uterus, your baby is totally protected from the "outside" toxins and is not officially living on its own. It depends on you for oxygen, food, protection, blood and basically everything. So once your child is born it is susceptible to all kinds of problems.

I am sure that that information is not what you wanted to hear, but just as easily as something could go wrong, is just as easily that everything could go right. Just keep going to your prenatal check ups and keep monitoring your baby's movements. As long as that doesn't stop you have pretty equal chances of the good or the bad, unless your doctor has told you otherwise.

Good luck & God bless!!

Movement indicates activity, and nothing more. My first was very active but born with a serious medical condition. The best indicators as to the health of the baby are ultrasounds and blood tests. If your doctor feels at any time that there may be complications, he will tell you. Just kick back and relax and don't let things worry you, unless your doc says something that should worry you. Keep your stress levels as low as possible, take your prenatal vitamins, cut back on salt. Get lots of rest. And enjoy having that little one inside you, moving and keeping you awake at night.

That is a good but unless his movement are frantic and panicky (you will know). Keep up with your prenatal appointments and listen to your doctor. Don't panic if the baby moves all the time for a few days then takes a day off (you should still feel some occasional movement). Congrats

It means the baby is very active and possibly will experience hyperactivity behaviors later on. Take care of yourself and make sure above all that you maintain complete nutrition during your pregnancy. Many studies have shown that pre-birth care can effect the newborn, such as classical music. Do some research in this area and find all the wonderful things you can do for your baby before the baby is born.

Yes, It is true that later in pregnancy, the baby has less room and therefore, moves less. You are probably getting weekly checkups at that point so if movement is less, you'll be reassured by the sound of the heartbeat!

Be in a prenatal program getting regular checkups. Let them measure your and weigh you. Ask your doctor and the nurses to reassure you. You will feel better.
