They don't know who I am I have not put my permit. The car is not registered at my name but I don't want anything to happen to the registered owner.

If you plan to visit again you should pay because they recorded your VIN and LIC #.

Next time they will get their money because they'll put the boot on your car or impound it - then you'll pay additional fees for storage.

Best wishes,

pup

When the registered owner gets their information to register the car for the tags they will get a notice that there is a ticket and all the information on when and where the ticket was given... You should pay the ticket if you do not want them to know!!!

Besides the unpaid ticket messing up your credit, they can also put a stop on any alumni materials, registration at college websites, and such. If you care about staying connected, or learning who's gotten married, had a baby, or died, pay the damned ticket. After all, students are not visitors, so you're being awfully stubborn about a validly-issued parking ticket.

Actually, if you don't pay the ticket, it wil go against the registered owner and the DMV will take the amount on to the registration for the next year and it will be itemized. Then if it still isn't pain, it will go to the State tax board and they will get you that way..... They are going to get their money one way or another. Avoid all that nonsense and get this paid before it becomes double the amount

If this is truly a private parking lot, you don't have to pay it; but the ticket may be sent to the car owner...same thing happened to my friend, she didn't pay it, that was it...there is nothing they can do about...legally, you have to be present to recognized you've got a ticket, just like the cop would have you sign the ticket on the street...

Some schools, even high schools, issue REAL parking tickets. So if they are not paid, you could have a warrant waiting. Pay the $10-20 and don't risk someone else taking the blame! They are letting you use their car, right?

They have the Plate Number of the car. If the ticket is not paid within the time allowed the car can be booted or towed.

Yes pay it. It is possible that when the registered owner goes to renew the registration or his/her license they will be unable to. Since you were repsonsible take care of it.
