Don't internalize the problem; it's not yours to hold onto. Think about the person who are attempting to assist. Use statements like "it's been my experience," or "have you thought about trying it this way." It sounds like you have a doozy -- the trite phrases more bees with honey than vinegar ... yup, it works.
