If you are using Yahoo Messenger, try refreshing your list of friends to see if it would come. If not, check the version of your Yahoo Messenger by logging in to Messenger and select ‘About Yahoo! Messenger’ from the Help dropdown menu. If you have the version, then contact customer service by going to this website http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/contactus/contactus-01.html. Go to start>run>type msconfig>click start up menu and uncheck box with messenger on it, click apply and OK (reboot) then it should no longer start up when you start computer! Peace!
