I just had my birthday and to be honest........it seriously didn't matter! Both are such amazing gestures coming from friends and loved ones that just want you to know they are out there......thinking of you.......wishing you well. Gosh.......I'm just delighted people remembered!! I could never go so far as to say that I would have preferred one over the other. Both are amazing gestures..........both took time and effort. Both took thought. I'd save them both and pull them both out when I needed cheer. :)

a birthday card is a more thoughtful way to wish a happy birthday. Not as cold or lazy as an ecard.

I really don't have a preference. It's just nice to know that some people are thoughtful enough to want to give/send you a birthday card or ecard. "When you care enough..."

I would much rather recieve a regular card because it means you actually got of your butt and took your time to pick a good card. Not that an eCard isn't nice, but you don't have to put as much thinking in to it lol
