I am 13 years old and i got my period right before i was in grade 5... Iam about 5'1 in ahalf it totaly sucks to be so short but just deal with it... we cant cant reach high things get a cute tall guy to come over a get it for you..its not a big deal!!! i dont think i will grow but we have a little bit more time to see if there is hope for us still... its not really that bad just make the best of it!!! Trust me u cant make yourself grow... be who You be!!! show u right... good luck!!! from another shorty

Something to add: It could be genetics based on the height you say your mom is or the mestrual thing at a young age could have something to do with it. I say this because once you hit puberty, you start to mature in areas instead of grow in length.

Good luck tho,, u neva know (young age period suck but make the best out of it)!!!!!!!

You still have time to grow! But to make yourself feel better, be sure to eat right and exercise. I hear that pilates can really help with posture ... and making your muscles longer and learner. But honestly, I think you still have some time. How 'bout some platform shoes?

You stop growing 2-3 years after your first period. Sorry, I don't think that you will be growing that much more.

The best you can do while staying on the natural side is to excercise a lot. I wouln't suggest any weightlifting, just do some running and other sports.
