A saree/sari is a length of cut cloth ranging from 5.5 yards to 9 yards long (depending on which geographic location it's worn in). It's worn in places such as Bangeladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc.
The way it's draped also varies across different locations, the most popular being the nivi style.

Sari is a woman's dress, which carries no hooks, no buttons, no zips and not even cut or tailored to any special size. It is a long piece of cloth, mostly very alluring, tied round the torso, completely keeping in the legs, with one end of it thrown over the shoulder. The Indians and Bangla Deshi women would be seen clad in it.

a sari or saree is a lenght of cloth, approx. 5 feet long, worn or rather tied by women in countries like India, srilanka etc. Its an ethnic dress for women in india and it comes in diff. designs and colours and patterns and also diff. materials like silk, cotton, polyester etc. If draped around properly it makes a woman look beautiful.. really and also very elegant.
