Your Dress sound really nice, If your dress is tan i would suggest using a glimmery gold or bronze eye shadow that will make your eyes stick out more, and light blush, depending no your skin tone.
Since your dress is tan, you dont want to look all one color, add pizzaz to your decore, there is an eyeshadow that have crushed pearls that come in all colors, i would buy that and choose a dark color like brown/gold/mohagony/maroon. NEVER black eye shadow

Gold's and Coppers would look very nice. You can smudge the eyeliner a bit for a smoky effect. Be sure and choose one element to accent: the eyes or the lips. If you are going for the lips, you can use a dramatic red with a hint of brown (no fire engine reds please :) ). You should emphasize your face always. You should wear the dress, it should not wear you :)

well you should put eye shadow that matches your cloths, and a little light then then the color you piocked for eyeshadow,so now you have picked to colors, ffirst layer then light to darka,nd take a brush and glide it on your eye's will make your eye's look cute, and not to heavy makeup, and put lotion before, anything like foundation,or powder.so put lotion, then powder, then add eyeshadow, and blush and etc....
and if you can't pick a color lipstck, pick a light glossy brown, and put more gloss, because glossy lips make's you look great, and it is never out of style!

i would try a romantic look. i love eyeliner and mascara. dont use pounds of make-up, or else people might think that you have flaws.
