You might be surprised that computer engineering is a term that hasn't been around all that long. The college courses offered in this field are rigorous, and the competition is steep. If you really want to know about this field, schedule an appointment with the advisors in the Computer Engineering Department. They can also probably direct you to past graduates who will serve as a fine resource for you... and you can interview quite a few.
