Well women have different nervous systems than men. Stuff bugs us more especially around certain times of month. Get your gf some ear plugs and she'll be much happier especially if she needs to have quiet to concentrate on a task or sleep.

I think women multitask much more often then men.

On the other hand, multitasking is nothing more than doing a bunch of things poorly at the same time. Women who claim to be good multitaskers are usually the same ones that talk on the cell and drive at the same time, and put their priorities in that order.

Men IN GENERAL are much better at concentrating on single tasks and completing them thoroughly. That is the reason why men, IN GENERAL, are better at math and physics than women - these take a much higher degree of concentration and dedicated thought that women, IN GENERAL, cannot or will not maintain. Women like to do communication and arts and psych and things like that because they are much less rigorous and do not require the same amount of brainpower. Women tend to excel on tasks that are not difficult, allowing them to "multitask" - do many easy tasks at the same time. Look at the examples above - make sandwiches while listening to the news? C'mon...

Unfortunately, this usually results in a crappy job on all of them.

Not all women, of course, and not all men, but IN GENERAL this is the rule.

That is a generalization. Some women can concentrate very well, and some guys can't do it worth a flip. IS one sex better at it than the other? Maybe or maybe not. I have heard that males have a better knack for math than females. If that is the case, I must have lots of female hormones, as I stink at math! I wish I didn't!!! When I was in school, I knew girls who were whizzes at math too. Women are sometimes called the "weaker sex" too, but their bodies are built to withstand the pressures of childbirth that would kill a male. Sometimes it has killed females, but most manage to survive the terrible ordeal. I say if there is a superior sex it is not your's.

i'm NOT going to say anything, cuz i don't really multi-task. if you're asking me to drive a car, & mix an alcoholic drink, while drawing a copy of the Mona Lisa w/ my left hand & at the same time solve for X in the Quadratic formula w/ my Rt hand... then NO i cannot multi-task.

putting clothes in the washing machine,& putting plates in the dishwasher, while i watch TV IS NOT multi-tasking.

driving a car, & applying make-up, while dialing cell phones-- that's multi-tasking. girls do that.

i saw a guy solve a math problem & show the math work with the Rt hand, & at the SAME TIME, drew a picture of a face with his Lt hand. both the math problem & the face were finished at the same time. that's multi-tasking.

There are a lot of things going on inside a womans head. We have so many more things to think about and the slightest distraction will catch our attention. I think it is programmed into us to be that way. It is a way that women can multitask in our minds.

I multitask far better than any man I have met to date! I see you, however, can not even think your small minded thoughts and type at the same time. Good luck with that!

HA! Multitask? I'm surprised you can spell it? Guys can't multitask - that's hilarious! You can hardly concentrate on one thing at a time. Let's see, how about getting kids ready for school, while making lunches and breakfast at the same time, checking homework, organizing backpacks, scheduling my day, tying shoes and cleaning up breakfast dishes, all while listening to the morning news! I dare you to even try! And that's just 30 mins. of my morning! :) Women rule and you know it.

I don't know where you heard that from but is not true. Maybe some women are like that but not me.

And to speaking for myself, I know that I work very hard and I can multitask as well better than any men out there.
