Not if nobody wants another Civil War on their hands, because that's exactly what would happen! I would never freely hand over my firearms without a fight!

Anthony, you know how liberal I am, I have owned guns since I was 9 years old, I am 60 now. None of my guns have ever been used in a crime, they have never been so much as pointed at a human being (not that I wouldn't if I was in danger) I do not think taking my gun away from me will deter any crime. I am for a certain amount of gun control and punishing those that misuse a gun. That really should go without saying, even the evil NRA probably would go along with that.

Do you really trust gun owners to turn over there arms. Banning guns just makes life easier for Thugs and criminals when you take away intelligent citizens guns. If you want to crack down on guns we need to close off black market trade of guns and make sure that only the right people are able to purchase and own guns. The kind of people who will keep them away from children and unstable individuals. but you can't just ban guns and expect life to be better. It has to be a gradual process.

No, If you ban guns, the only people to have them will be criminals, cause let's face it they are already out there. Why should I as a Sporting Shooter be punished because of criminals who are already breaking the law? I enjoy shooting for sport, no hunting here, just targets. Criminals are not going to give up their weapons because you pass a law. If that were the case, they wouldn't be breaking the law to begin with. If you want to lower crime rates, be tougher on the criminals that break the law.

hell no. if you want a peaceful society then there should be more punishment than a slap on the wrist for crimes.there would be even more peace if people would leave gun owners alone and start addressing the real problems.

After they ban guns ( to make it safer) Are they going to ban hammers, scissors, knives, screwdrivers, tire irons, baseball bats,etc.. The da*n gun don't kill people - people kill people. Gun = Tool
