Clarification: you asked about the soundtrack fro Mr. Holland's Opus. There is only one soundtrack for the film, and the song there is performed by Julia Fordham.

The character in the movie who sings the song is played by Jean Louisa Kelly, but it is not her version that was used on the soundtrack.

Limewire lists 42 artists - that is a very popular song...
I am pretty sure that it was written by George Gershwin
Sung by Etta James, Frank Sinatra and, more currently, Rod Stewart - (many many others have done this song - it's beautiful)
If you are only interested in the "Mr. Holland's Opus" version, it was Jean Louisa Kelly; HOWEVER, the track on the CD is not the same as the original soundtrack version. Julia Fordham sings it on the CD.

Perhaps you should watch it again. If you'd watched it you should be able to answer those. We're not here to do your homework for you and some of those questions are subjective meaning you'd have to give your opinion. It's a great movie, watch it at home without the distractions of friends and classmate. It's a good movie. I've seen it numerous times, but won't answer your homework for you.
