Look on the face of the CD drive. If it says CD rewritable or CD-RW or something like that, then you have a CD burner. If it just says CD ROM and that's it, then you don't.

You can open up the Control Panel and click System. Look in the Device Manager for CD/DVD Drives. Whether its a cd burner or not would be if it has RW (read/write) after it. CD-Rom only reads, it doesn't write.

Click on the file letter for that drive, see what the designation is, if it is a Cd burner, you will see the letters CdRW on it.
A Cd read-only unit is usually CdR.
You can also right click on a file icon on your desk top, and see if it says 'send to' on the menu, where it will also give you the drive designation. Cd/DVD reader/writers (burners) usually have RW on the designation.

try looking for a certain cm burner program in ur pc or try placing a blank cd-r in ur cd drive if the "burn cd using *cd burner program*" option came up, then u have a cd burner..

look at the outside of the cd-rom drive on your computer and if it says compact disc rewritable or RW then you have it.

The drive will have writing on it like "Just Link" 40x12x48x
