How do we find out my boyfriend's condom size?

Question

My boyfriend has never had sex with a condom before and this will be our first time having sex together. He doesn't know how to determine his condom size and neither do I. I mean, is it obvious the male's size? Just Large, medium, and small? What is the length that determines that it is long or medium or small? Should we measure it both lentgh and width wise to find out, or what? We don't have a lot of money to waste on trying different sizes out to see what works. We are in desperate need of help. What about the condom size?
Condoms are made in different lengths and widths, and different manufacturers produce varying sizes.

There is no standard length for condoms, though those made from natural rubber will in addition always stretch if necessary to fit the length of the man's erect penis.

The width of a condom can also vary. Some condoms have a slightly smaller width to give a "closer" fit, whereas others will be slightly larger. Condom makers have realised that different lengths and widths are needed and are increasingly broadening their range of sizes.

The brand names will be different in each country, so you will need to do your own investigation of different names. There is no particular best brand of condom. Guys don't like to hear that their penis is medium, so condom makers pretty much start the sizing at large, XL, and XXL; like starbucks. Get him a large, it won't hurt him badly if it doesn't fit, and it won't slip off (which would be worse). It should actually be just a little uncomfortable to be effective, and if it's just not working, you can always size up next time. Have fun!

Never having used one before, it is kind of hard to determine what size will work the best for him. I would just recommend a brand name, lubricated condom to start. They will fit just about every type of penis from 4 1/2 inches up to 7 inches. If they are to small for him, try the magnum sized ones. Just buy a three pack at first and work your way up to the dozen size - good luck!

condoms are quite stretchy and "one size fits al" whoever Al is. lol. There are some larger ones I think called magnums. But you want it to be snug anyway.

6" is normal. that's about a medium.
