We are trying to be respectful to our mom & not wear something to "sexy and revealing" but she is turning down every costume we show her, and some costumes we like, but don't like the wings or the tights or hair piece.......and she says its not a costume without it and what will we tell people when they ask what we are.. we want to be twins.... ANY IDEAS FOR CUTE COSTUMES?

first off ur mom sounds ALOT like my mom.
I would go with a costume like Lucy from "I love lucy",
a Disney Charecter like Ariel, snow white, cinderella, belle from beauty and the beast, those are hardly ever revealing

Try being nurses. Or cats. Or if you really want to, go as ballerina! You can go down to most any costume store and find a little wrap around tutu. Wear jeans and a t-shirt with 'em and some ballet flats! That'd be totally cute.

Go and get like fairy costumes or something. If anything make your own. Im going as a pimp and their aint to many costumes that are pimps. You dont have to buy a costume that is already pre-made or anything, Halloween is about being creative. Use your imagination.

I can't believe I'm actually advocating this, but as long as you're using good taste and really not being too revealing, then why don't you go along with what she's saying and then just take off the wigs or whatever else you don't like when you get away from home?

got a great idea for ya. since your going out together why not you dress up as ROCKY and Adrian. You know ROCKY outfit easy to put together you can put a grey track suit on and black knitted hat and warm gloves and your done.
Or you be ROCKY when he's ready for the big fight and wear his gold and black trade mark outfit get a pair of black and gold trunks or settle for black and buy gold ribbon put them over your track pants it will be cold out. and put a shirt on or a long cap to keep warm again black will do nicely.
For your sister she can put on a warm fuzzy coat ( not a ski jacket) try to get moms wool coat something like that she can put on a warm hat pair of black pointy glasses she buy them at the dollar store and she can put on gloves too. so your both dressed warm and didnt' cost mom much to put together. if your sister has black or dark brown hair perfect if not she can get a halloween black wig there cheap too.

be a female vampire, and go for the fake plastic fangs. but make sure its not too revealing, although i dont think a vampire costume is. good luck!
