because you are a regular, responsible working person, and those who continue to make noise do not care about you. The cannot even conceive of a person who does not work 7:30--4:00 every day. Yeesh! I wish that they would realize that those who collect their trash, keep the criminals locked uou, and deliver bakery goods don't have the luxury of "sleeping in" until 7 AM.

IF IT IS TOO QUIET,I TOSS & TURN, --STORY---NOT THAT THE NOISE BOTHERED ME , IT WAS THE ISLANDS NEW NOISE ORDINANCE.EXAMPLE----I CALL LAST CALL AT THE FULL BAR AT 3:30 AM IN ORDER TO KEEP UP W / THE LAW THAT ALL PATRONS ARE TO BE OUT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT @ 4:00 AM. CLEAN THE MESS.TALLY REGISTER,SECURE MONIES,SECURE BUILDING,ETC... NOW WE ARE ARUND 6;00 AM. DO YOU DIRECTLY TO SLEEP WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR DAILY GRIND? WHAT GETS ME (REALLY NOT) ARE THE GRAVEYARD WORK FORCE CONSIDERED SO BFLOW THAT THE CITY OR COUNTY OFFICE HOLDERS THINK THAT WE CAN'T HEAR THAT JACK HAMMER AS SOON AS WE FINALLY GET OUR EYES CLOSED , SEE WHAT KIND OF FINES I WOULD GET REVERSING THIS SITUATION AROUND THEN SPEAKING AS A HEN- A -****-A DOODLE-A-DAY SOUNDS LIKE HARMONY TO ME!

Unfortunately, old chap, it's one of those 'universal laws' that a fella by the name of Murphy cottoned on to some years back. Sod's law, you might say.
Amongst a number of these laws is my personal favourite, which has proved to be accurate on a number of occasions: 'anything that can go wrong will go wrong'.
You might want to look them up. I believe you'll find them under Murphy's Laws of Combat.

Mostly because they have probably slept all they want during the week when everyone else was up before dawn. They haven't the good grace to think that maybe someone could do with a few hours rest.Grrrr

frequently and in the week when we have to be up for work at 6am some gobshite is screaming and shouting till midnight turned it's not right. other than a shotgun what can you do theres no respect so confronting them achieves nothing it just makes em worse

I sleep with a fan and earplugs. I also take an anti anxiety medication. Works for me. And, I am happier. To hell with what Tom Cruise thinks. Look where he's at.

Worse than that are working men. Why the fk do they have to drop bloody great crates from heights of 16 ft at 8 oclock on a Saturday morning? Or fkn taxi drivers who are too fkn lazy to get out of their cabs and knock on a door TOOT! TOOT! BLOODY TOOT!
And the singing!? Why is it only people who work on Sundays sing?
